Analysis and Recommendations
MSCC Master Plan Mission Statement:
Prepare a comprehensive and responsible plan for enhancements and upgrades to our
golf course and club facilities with the goal to enrich the experience of our current
Meadow Springs Country Club membership and foster future sustainability and
growth of the Club.
Master Plan Objectives:
- Assess the relationships and needs of all related Club facilities as part
of the overall member experience.
- Identify upgrades and timely replacement of course and facilities
infrastructure.
- Recommend improvements for highest priority issues.
- Enhance course presentation and playability for all levels of MSCC
golfers.
- Identify potential enhancements to aesthetics throughout the property.
- Coordinate all improvements to integrate with and complement
adjacent facilities and other projects.
- Ensure MSCC remains the best choice for Country Club membership
in the Tri-Cities Area.
- Identify an effective and responsible implementation plan for the final
scope of master plan recommendations based on member determined
priorities, efficient construction sequencing and fiscal responsibility.
- Respect, maintain and expand upon the settings and existing character
of the golf course and accompanying facilities.
Master Plan Committee Objectives
- Receive and evaluate architects recommendations.
- Provide recommendations to the Board of Directors.
- Recommend improvements for highest priority issues.
- Provide information about the process to keep the MSCC membership well
informed.
- Seek timely input on significant proposed enhancements from the membership.
MSCC Board of Directors:
- Align and incorporate the Master Plan's recommendations into the Club's
Strategic Plan.
- Develop recommendations for membership to approve. Dues increase or
assessments required to pay for any projects will require a majority vote of the
voting membership.
Talking Points:
- Bring the golf course up to modern standards.
- An expert is needed.
- The club needs a Master Plan to guide how we make improvements to the
grounds.
- A Master Plan is input into the development of the club's long range plan,
which will include any financial implications.
- Any decision to proceed to recommended changes to the grounds will be
made by relevant committees and the Board of Directors.
- Any dues increase or assessments required to pay for any projects will require
a majority vote of the voting membership.
- The golf course architect is giving us complete guidance on how any
improvements integrate with and complement other projects.
