The Board of Directors and Green Committee is very pleased to present for your consideration this proposed master plan for our golf course and related golf facilities. In February of 2017 an ad-hoc committee composed of member representatives and Club staff was tasked to work with Golf Course Architect David Druzisky, ASGCA to craft a comprehensive plan for the upkeep and enhancement of the Golf Course. With a desire to insure the finest overall club experience for the members moving forward, the intent of the plan has been to take a proactive approach and seek out professional advice to help us determine future course projects. A thorough and professional assessment would identify current as well as future needs and opportunities that might be available to us to insure the future golfing enjoyment of the membership and our guests. With a majority of the club’s facilities now older than 25 years, it was also agreed that we must continue to reinvest in the club’s assets so that we maintain our status as the finest club in the market. Specific goals and objectives of the process were spelled out in a mission statement that can be found within the content of this presentation.

The plan shown here was crafted over a 6 month period and included numerous meetings with the architect. David Druzisky spent considerable time on the golf course and, with additional insight provided by the committee, gained a thorough understanding of the golf course and a grasp of its strengths and weaknesses. He additionally studied and assessed relationships with other club facilities that impact the member experience. While all aspects of the course and related facilities were included in the effort, a majority of the resulting recommendation fell into one of the two areas of focus:

1. Projecting the timely replacement, restoration or upgrade of all course infrastructure and features based on industry accepted standard lifecycles with consideration to rounds, climate and quality of maintenance or upkeep over time.
2. Identifying select opportunities to improve the golfing experience for all members and caliber of golfers with design enhancement of golf holes and or their features.

All findings and recommendations were presented and carefully considered prior to finalizing the version being presented herein.

Moving forward, this web based presentation has been provided to help communicate the results of the plan to the broader membership, answer any questions that might arise, and to promote comments so that we may determine the best plan for Meadow Springs Country Club. In addition to this web site, plans and other Master Plan documents are available for review at the Club for your convenience.
